Hi. I have been using Xastir for some time, installed from the repos of Linux Mint 5 and all was well. Got a bit antsy and upgraded to Linux Mint 8 and with that comes Xastir 1.9.4. Now if I try to use the Canada topo maps I get a black screen. I notice that it uses Graphicsmagick, would that

Yes. As I have recently discovered the versions in the repos are quite old and often not built with all the necessary or desirable support programs and libraries. The folks on this reflector just carried me through a build from source and the result was excellent. Although you are using

Folks, I am certain that loading Xastir on a Mac is simple and easy, but I a quite perplexed as to where to even begin. The instructions I found on line are totally cryptic. The terms are meaningless. The nothing in the process is intuitive. I am a simple Mac user, and love my Mac

Hi All, I have my web server running for testing purposes and thought I would share it with all. I am utilizing the MySQL persistense support in xastir and grabbing the data with php. I would like to thank all of you that helped me get this far with some of the problems I had along the way.
