In the past I have run aprsD on my laptop, had Xastir connect to it so other
stations could connect to my feed. This way if I shut down Xastir it does
not break everyone else's connection to that feed.

A while back, a buddy told me that when I finally had a more current version of
XASTIR up and running, we could run a direct link to each others stations and
essentially gate each area's traffic to each other. Is this a possibility with
XASTIR and if so, how difficult is it to set up?
Thanks!
