Found the problem, dire wolf oddly was transmitting audio through my sound card
and receiving audio from the computers internal mic instead of from the sound
card.
That's not Direwolf's fault, that's Linux's PulseAudio's fault.

Hello Skyler,
Direwolf can be somewhat sensitive to some USB sound devices. Just
because it uses a CM chip doesn't mean it will work. Are you running
this on a Raspberry Pi behind a USB hub? If so, try connecting the
sound device directly to the Rpi.

I have soundmodem working fine where it will TX and RX packets. Direwolf
for some reason, however will only transmit packets and not receive when I
send an APRS packet in the sound in.
