[Xastir] Xastir Code Freeze In Effect

The Xastir project will be in code-freeze in an hour. One exception will be allowed: A patch to a MySQL setup script that's still being worked out. This patch doesn't affect Xastir run-time and we ran out of time to discuss the nuances. It should get committed within the next 1-3 days. Other

As I said, I just updated successfully for the first time just tonight. So this will be the second time and it should go fine from here on out. Since it took the 1.9.4.3 to 1.9.9 using the update-xastir file, I expect all is there. Go have fun with those boys and thanks. I will run the update a

[Xastir] Mac OSX errors

Hello all, I am somewhat new to APRS, and I am trying to setup and I-Gate using my MacBook Pro. I have followed the directions on this page in order to install Xastir and all dependencies: http://www.xastir.org/wiki/Macports. I installed OpenMotif, and all but the db45 library, which gave me th

[Xastir] LANGUAGE TRANSLATORS: Please take a look at the current files

2010-10-04 Thread Curt, WE7U
We're in code-freeze now, getting ready for a new STABLE release within the next two weeks or so. Please take a look at the language files in the xastir/config/ directory to see if any strings need translation. Use the language files from the "CVS HEAD" version or the "xastir199-2010-Sep-16.tgz

After my last reply, I tried to use your binary, and followed the instructions (it is actually surprising that anyone can miss them), but when I open the application, X11 opens, then Xastir closes, and nothing happens. KF5EFR --- On Mon, 10/4/10, Jeremy McDermond wrote: From: Jeremy McDermond

I think the trick to using the binary is having all the dependencies installed on the mac to begin with. Don't know that for sure, but it seems to sure help. -Chase W4TI On Mon, Oct 4, 2010 at 9:01 PM, Bob Nielsen wrote: > I experienced the same behavior (OS X 10.6.4). > > Bob, N7XY > > On Oct

I tried using the binary version after trying the MacPorts route, which consisted of installing the dependencies (except for lib db45), but still had the same behavior of an immediate closure after trying to open Xastir. So in the case of OS X 10.6.4 (which is what I am running), having the dep

Then, obviously, I am incorrect. I seem to recall there is a problem with Macports installing db45- one must use an older version I believe. Macports doesn't want to do it on 10.6. After trying to build it all from source, mainly without a good instruction set- what most linux/command line nerds
