Thank you and to all. I've received numerous screen shots and they all
look good. So far, the only platform that doesn't seem to like weather
objects (as opposed to weather stations) is Kenwood's newest D72. Not
all other platforms have been tested yet, but that's probably the least
Hello to the list!
I have been using Xastir for a few years now, but I just joined the list
yesterday.
I have a One Wire Weather station, but I only have two sensors. I can
send the observations to Xastir using the Arne protocol via tcp, but the
protocol requires values for all the sensors.
From a discussion thread I sorta participated in when the new server was
announced, it is just taking the public RSS feed from the NOAA website and
massaging it.
(yes, I know I'm really late in joining this discussion but today is the
first day I've had an ATU in a week)

I have no GPS coverage so if some one could try the following in TNC mode:
GPSTEXT $GPRMC
LTMH ON
LTM 10
LPATH GPS
GPSMON ON (this is not listed in the manual)
KPOSMON 2(returning LA3QMA-7GPS:$PKWDPOS,,V*12 with
no GPS coverage)
GPSRXOVR 2
I can try these commands this evening on a TH-D72 this evening.

The D7A(g) works the same way except in APRS mode one had to plug in a
serial enabled GPS with NMEA output. With the TNC in PACKET mode there is no
GPS data available at the TNC level except for the data coming in over Rf in
the form of position packets from other stations to be processed

I would like to know what GPS can connect with the 2.5mm connection.
Anything that can speak NMEA over RS232.
