I am somewhat new to APRS, and I am trying to setup and I-Gate using my MacBook
Pro. I have followed the directions on this page in order to install Xastir and
all dependencies: http://www.xastir.org/wiki/Macports. I installed OpenMotif,
and all but the db45 library, which gave me th

Now that Xastir opens fine, the TNC does not connect, but this is most likely
my
fault for now knowing what I am doing with my USB-Serial adapter. I am using a
PL2303 USb to serial adapter, connected a TT4 running the Byonics KISS TNC
firmware.
Has anyone found any working entries for the "TN
port will change the #
number.

I am fairly sure that my TNC is working correctly (since on almost every rx I
see a little red arrow flash on the bottom of the screen, far left of the
information boxes) however I do can't seem to get any data up on the map. I

I have been trying to add a station identifier to my call sign (KF5EFR-0),
however Xastir does not register it. This only happens when putting KF5EFR-0,
