This is most likely a mail config issue my end but I'm not getting mail from
this list...

Hi... this is a little fix that I needed to apply to Debian sid,
$ cat /etc/udev/rules.d/50-ttyUSB.rules # ID 0557:2008 ATEN International Co.,
Ltd UC-232A Serial Port [pl2303] KERNEL==ttyUSB*, SUBSYSTEMS==usb,
ATTRS{subsystem_device}==0x0557, ATTRS{subsystem_vendor}==0x2008,
MODE=0777,
Hi Tony,
I'd say that the best work around would be to compile the latest cvs source and
source for the offending dependencies, I know that isn't really addressing the
issue you mention, but it will give you the functionality you seek...

Well it could also go the other way... why not port all known windows
APRS clients to Linux! there are many reasons why this will never happen
nor I doubt that it should! you use whatever APRS client suites your
needs and liking. :-)

Hi Kurt and to all...
I'm fully aware of CVS and the others mentioned. Would it be outside the
scope to include say an RPM.spec (fedora/suse) file and the Debian
directory into the CVS source tree ? or maybe create a second CVS source
to contain such ?

I really hate it when I send (an email) and realise I've made a nasty
typo! sorry Curt ;-)

Problem I was encountering is that because Debian Ubuntu have deviated
so far apart, there is some complexities in package building as a
result! (insert multiple swear words here!)

as I also use the gps for my ntp server. The only good
thing is that I don't reboot the server that often so gpsd behaves once
I remember to force the gps into binary SiRF II mode!
Not sure if that helps any?

I have to say that the recent addition for adding the OSM in Xastir has
to be right up there because in my part of the world the tiger map info
was non existent!

Hmm... I have ax25 running fine under 10.04
however this was updated from 9.10, but if there was an issue with the
module then I'm fairly certain I'd have an issue!

Yes you can use the Nvida drivers in ubuntu lucid, but you may encounter
some issues with plymouth! (only visual during boot) depending on the
model Nvida card used.

Have you installed the minimum to be able to compile? I'm not sure what
distribution you're using but if its ubuntu, then installing the meta
package of build-essential will fix this for you!
