There are two main reasons that Xastir isn't available in a Windows binary
right now:
1) There are no decent, low cost (or free) Windows compilers that understand
makefiles and that support GUI's (there are one or two out there that output
command line programs).
2) Xastir uses the Unix rule
Well it could also go the other way... why not port all known windows
APRS clients to Linux! there are many reasons why this will never happen
nor I doubt that it should! you use whatever APRS client suites your
needs and liking. :-)
