hi all
My name is kendell clark, and I've been using linux for the past 5
years. I joined this list because I want to help improve the existing
mime database for a number of file types. I'd like to add the following
mime types: application/x-psp-rom, which will correspond to a psp
(p
ing book) mime types.
Thanks

hope this is the appropriate list for posting such
things. If not, please accept my apology. If anyone wants a copy of the
sound theme, which is a little over a megabyte, I'd be happy to attach
it to an email to the list, but I won't do so unless req
ed. These seem to be mp3 files with some strange stuff
at the beginning, because simply renaming the file extension doesn't
allow them to be played, but I can easily convert them with ffmpeg. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually mp3, but occasionally the acelp or sony's HAC ((hearing aid
compatible) codecs are used, although I don't have any idea what those
last two are.

tests, but how were those generated?

Sorry for top posting, I know some mailing lists prefer in line quotes,
and I'll try my best to stick to that after this message.
Thank
x27;t want to be a bother but I
do want to improve linux, and the mime types available for it, which is
why I joined this list.

console rom formats registered? Application/x-wii-rom, etc?

hi
No problem, can do. I'm a little new at git but I believe I know how to
do that. It's git format-patch, followed by the commit id, right?
Thanks

type be something like text/braille?
Thanks

hi
Hmm, encoding=brf? That's odd. Do brf files have their own encoding? I'm
not sure. I now need to get my hands on some keyWord braille and keyWord
text files from a braille note to add support for those lol. Don't mind
me, I run away with ideas sometimes.

J
select the wrong one, the files won't match and the mime type won't
work. Once I have this, where would I put it in the bug? I have a test
audible file which I'd be happy to attach to this email so someone with
the privilages can upload it to the tests in sha

for someone else to do so if you guys want.

Is anyone still interested? If not I'll stop asking, was just curious. I
haven't heard anything in a while.

the mime type database at
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91873. I hope I didn't add
too much technical info in this email, I always get carried away when
I'm trying to w

across an audible file.

sks, I could do the same thing. I'd also be interested
in helping improve the existing mime database.

Open source is much more than just a license. It is a community of like minded
users and developers committed to exercising their rights to use, study,

in shared mime info itself, but I couldn't find a feature request
option.
