Francois,

Yes, that sounds quite exciting. I also agree that an XML driven
database like Tamino would be an interesting new open source project
to start.

I think that it should be based on w3c standards such as:
XML Query ( whenever it get defined), XPath, and XSLT, etc.

We should look at current XML database architectures such the one
used by Tamino, etc. and try to get the best features and practices
used for such product/projects.

The following is a link on the topic of XML Databases:

http://www.informatik.th-darmstadt.de/DVS1/staff/bourret/xml/XMLDatabaseProds.htm

http://www.icewalkers.com/softlib/app/app_00657.html

I hope that we can this idea can get it's own project and mailing
list.

I think this project would be quite useful and it seems like the
nature evolution of our XML-APACHE suite of product/projects.

Thanks,

Hi,

I just want to make a suggestion. Did you consider developing an XML driven
database like Tamino. It would be nice to be working on an Open source XML
database that uses the best XML parser (Xerces). I know this is a huge
project but I do feel that this could be very useful in a wide range of
applications.

What is the possibility off this?

Thanks
