Do you have to use the verbatim environment? If not, you could try the
listings or fancyvrb package. IIRC, both will let you escape parts of
the code so you can do things like changing the font and text
direction.

Lucida Sans Typewriter and DejaVu Sans Mono have both Arabic.

Hi all,
I have a problem that I was unable to solve. I have a document written
in Czech with small samples of texts in Hindi and Urdu. It works fine
with Polyglossia. I wanted to display how a text is entered in an XML
