Is there an Xfce 4.8 plugin that will make the
clipboard persistent? By that I mean, not
having to keep the originating program open
after copying into the clipboard or it
won't paste.

I've been suing Parcellite as the clipboard manager. It has the option for
history among much more. It's in the repos.
