and floppy has a little to less space for linux with an x-server, it uses
ms-dos.
Terminal emulation over the serial console works fine, so i thought there must

i want to run the xfree86 on our own platform, it is a mips r4X00 based cpci board
with a silicon motion LynxEM+ 712 chip, and there is no bios to initialize the card,
so i use the frame buffer driver provided by the Silicon Motion Inc and port some
accelerating code from the xfree86

Itried to start the GUI in Red Hat 9 and I got this reply. I am attatching the file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log" . The GUI is not working.

You are misconfigured. You do not have Intel i810 graphics, but
rather you have ATI Rage 128 graphics. In the /etc/X11/XF86Config
file I think you want to change Driver i810 to Driver ati.
