In the middle of a session the mouse became unresponsive, CPU went to
100%, and eventually the cursor disappeared completely.
Try finding more about the failure seeing wich process is tearing up the
CPU (using 'top' is good). I think many kinds of failures may stop the
mouse as a side effect...
