Hello, I tried to install XFree 4.2 on a Siemens Mobile 501, a laptop with Neomagic 128XD graphicschip and ES 1869 soundchip.
When I try to play a sound while running X with the neomagic-driver, the system freezes. This problem does not appear with the 3.3.6 XSVGA-server. The distribution is debian sid running kernel 2.4.22. Using an old kernel or an older version of debian did not solve the problem.
