У меня зе запускается XServer.
Конфигурация компьютера:
Motherboard: AsusP4P800
Video: ATI Radeon 9600XT
Monitor: CTX700F Plus
Mouse: CHERRY Optical 800dpi PS/2
Также на этапе установки Linux в графическом режиме были проблемы с "мыщью".
