You have to remap the video memory, procedure was decribed in XF3 docs, had
its own readme. Try to get that.

Even if the site says it is supported it just means the driver
knows about the chip in is in prinicple capable of driving this
chip.

I too use a CL 5446 and am using RedHat 7.1 and it works just fine.
It doesn't work in 1024x768 mode though with a higher frequency than
60 HZ.
Thats because my monitor Samtron 5Ei doesn't support a higher frequency.
Why don't you try RedHat instead?

I tried first with Linux Mandrake 9.1 and now I'm trying with FreeBSD 4.8.
I've used every combination of resolution with 8, 15, 16
