Hi, I bought this card in August and I can't make it works properly. So I'm needing desperately any help :-)
In the first attempt, I had installed RedHat Linux 9.0 and downloaded Gatos drivers from Sourceforge, but I can't compiled them. I realized that were functions in redhat kernel different to the needed by Gatos source. I was interested in mandrake 9.1 so I installed it instead of upgrade redhat kernel. Then I could compiled drm kernel modules and the rest of packages. For ati.2 XFree86 modules I downloaded the binaries ones for version 4.3.0 and installed it. Both, drm and ati.2 are working properly with XFree86 (I think so), because X starts well and I don't got significant errors. Now, I want to use the TV and video capture capbilities of my card, but videodev module doesn't recognise it. (I really don't know if this has sense or not), but I haven't the /dev/videoX file. I don't know if is missing another module or if kernel is not well configured or if I made something wrong; maybe the only thing that I know is that I don't know :-(. So, I send you the modules list, pci table, dmesg and Xfree86 log files for help. José A. Rodríguez ps. Maybe you can help me with my ignorance. It is the first time that I enter in the world of computers video and graphics, and of course in XFree86. What should I read, and where I can find it.
