Dear Friends,I'm begginer linux user and I need graphic mode (X-Windows) for program at 2.2.1x kernel and I have the SiS315 that is suported by the Xfree86 4.1 (I see this in Internet)Could I install the Xfree86 4.1 or later in a RedHat 6.2 or in a linux with kernel 2.2.x ?ThankYou,Javier.

Old kernel versions shouldn't be a problem. Your biggest concern is that you get an XFree86 version compatible with your libc. You can run the Xinstall.sh script (see the Install instructions that come with XFree86) to tell you which binaries you should be using. You generally want to run the
