Problem is evident in bottom of log...you either have no mouse or the
RH7 VM isn't able to produce one.
Try fiddling around with gpm or sumthin and see if you can get mouse access.
If that doesn't work, check your VMware settings and make sure that
the VM can see the mouse.

A couple things. First I think you're using the wrong driver.
There is an Sis driver for Sis chips, but you are using the VESA
driver which is unaccelerated. The VESA driver is limited to modes
that are listed in the VESA bios so it will be less flexible in
mode selection than other drivers.
I found the solution: my /tmp directory had two big
files and when I deleted them everything was OK

There were no errors in the log file so I assume that means
there's nothing wrong with the server. It sounds more like a
problem with the window manager. Can you run XFree86 by itself?
Ie. just run XFree86. CtrlAltBackspace will quit it.
If you can do that, then the server itself is running

And what is your problem?
Your log file shows only one warning (about a sync rate setting being
higher
than the ratings of the monitor) and no errors.
I can only assume you sent this log because you thought we might

There is no error in this logfile. It shows a properly working

specified a serial mouse (really? you have a serial mouse?) yet
the serial port specified does not exist.
