This is a documented intentional feature. Every STRING of ONE CHARACTER is
NUMERIC COMPATIBLE, as per xHarbour support of a CHAR sub type.

The feature has nothing to do with Str() or StrZero() it's a GENERIC
SUPPORT. You can use a CHAR type as NUMERIC in every context that numeric is
supported.
