[xmail] POP3 external account sync

2005-10-31 Thread Wim Verveen

What I want to do is the is the following:

1. Let xmail retrieve email from an external pop3 account containing all
the mail send to a particular domain
2. Forward it with smtp to a mailserver containing the mailboxes from
this domain

I know there are better ways to relay email, this is a very particular
case which cannot be solved another way at this time

Any ideas to make this work?

[xmail] Re: Log files ending with 0100

2005-10-31 Thread Rob Arends

It is caused by the change in day light savings .

For me (southern hemisphere) I just started DST and my log ended in 2300 for
the day of change only.
So my logs end in before and after the day with 23 hours. (2400 - 0100
= 2300)

In your case, you ended DST and so your day is actually 25 hours long.
That is why your log name ends with 0100 (2400 + 0100 = 2500)

This only occurs on the day DST changes.
Please note I run xmail 1.21 w32 and have noticed different results with
earlier versions.
Please upgrade if you are having problems and are less than 1.21

Rob :-)

Look at the xmail documentation for the file pop3links.tab.

2005-10-31 Thread Francesco Vertova

I suspect it has to do with DST change. If this is the case - it's a
classical topic that comes up twice a year - you should have two
files for Oct 30: one ending in storing entries until 2:59:59 am
(end of DST), another ending in 0100 storing entries from 3 am (which
has become 2 am) until the end of day. On the last Sunday of March
(start of DST) you'll have a file ending in and another one
ending in 2300.

Ciao, Francesco

[xmail] the !aex flag

2005-10-31 Thread Chris L. Franklin

Question,

if !aex means don't run this filter if the user is Auth'ed,
Shouldn't aex mean only run this filter on Auth'ed users ?
