Most likely, you (or one of your users) is trying to send email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Or someone is sending mail TO you from
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
You could try to temporary disable the CheckMailerDomain, and check your
SMTP logs to see who is trying to send mail related to pellicano.biz.

Do you mean: I would like XMail not to report this kind of error in

[xmail] Request: SmtpMsgIPBanMaps Variables

2007-04-10 Thread Manuel Martin
Hello Davide, hello List,

I have a suggestion for the SmtpMsgIPBanMaps-server.tab-variable. I =
would be
neat to be able to configure it like this:

SmtpMsgIPBanMaps 550 Denied because your IP $IP$ is listed in the
following blacklist: $MAP$
Result: 550 Denied because your IP 127.0.0.2 is listed in the following
blacklist: blacklist.example.com

Why? A user which receives a bounce which contains the original =
error-message
by Xmail just has to tell me that message for me to check/take action or
advise. Otherwise it's often hard to tell which was the sending MTA if a
large provider/hoster is used (the Received:-Lines in a bounce won't =
list
that last MTA, and the mailrelay is more often not the sending MTA) and =
it's
hard to tell a user via telephone to extract the right IP or hostname =
from
the bounce, if at all possible (I'm under the impression that some MTAs =
just
don't tell the sender that information).

Also, the user may be able to check the IP him/herself without my help.

I think this makes sense, it makes life much easier for everyone. :-)=20

Regards, Manuel Martin

Yes. I can give it a WARNING level instead of an ERROR, so you'd see it
only in a debug mode but not in the Event Log. I'll make pre05 today.

[xmail] 1.25-pre05 ...

2007-04-10 Thread Davide Libenzi

Here it is 1.25-pre05:

http://www.xmailserver.org/xmail-1.25-pre05.tar.gz
http://www.xmailserver.org/xmail-1.25-pre05.win32bin.zip

I reverted the thread stack code. For ppl using Linux+NPTL, the best
solution to avoid the 350 threads cap on 32 bit systems is to do a
`ulimit -s 128` (I out it in the xmail startup script).
In pre05 I made the DNS error message to became a message level, and hence
do not show up in the Event Log.
The big change remains the DNS lookup code. On @xmailserver.org is working
like a charm so far.

I have upgrade to 1.25-pre05, the debug mode returning some times:

Unknow DNS record type 28

Sorry for my ignorance, but this is related with IPv6 ?

2007-04-10 Thread Ana Paula Fernandes
I have same problem with a new domain now, but in this i have find the origin.

When i receive mail from pellicano.biz or ls5.net i receive this
message in the debug mode:

Maximum DNS query depth 32 exceeded ('pellicano.biz')
or
Maximum DNS query depth 32 exceeded ('ls5.net')

I have CheckMailerDomain with 1 in this case, i will setting disable
to check now.
