I've been trying to bring up a machine that's driving an analog tv. The
machine is using the GMA 945 chipset. X sees the TV out, but the log
file says
TV-1 disconnected
and the TV shows "No Signal". I can get a signal all the way through
the boot sequence up until X starts.

I am not sure. It looks like you have already done that. No USB etc in
your interrupts file...
Only other thing I would suggest is to see if there are any IRQ-specific
options in the module itself when load it, e.g
Justin,
No I did not use noapic initially.
I just tried and got the /proc/interrupts hereafter, which still gives me
qhal_host and i915 on the same line (IRQ 9)
Would your fix be to enable the CONFIG_PCI_MSI kernel option? I tried it
already and it made no difference. Unlike your 965 system, m

I am running Linux 2.6.29.6, Xorg 1.6.0 and xf86-video-intel 2.7.0.
Is there a way to have the Integrated Graphics Controller

I've just exported a new git repository for the xf4vnc project. It just
covers the xserver component at the moment.
It's available at
git clone git://xf4vnc.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/xf4vnc/xserver
I've briefly tested it and it seems to work, but I've not done anything
extensive.
