lbxproxy uses the Low Bandwidth X protocol to compress X connections proxied through it to X servers supporting the LBX extension. Since xorg-server 1.2 and later releases do not support LBX, this is only useful for sites & packagers who wish to support connections to older X servers or other X implementations.
