Public bug reported:
For greybird, GTK2 applications use a blue color for links, whereas GTK3
links are Ubuntu orange.
To compare, open Thunar (GTK2) and go to Help > About. Link to project page is
blue.
Open File Roller and go to Help > About. Link to project page is orange.

This is not something that can be defined in the theme in GTK2, it either has
to be set globally (as in Oneiric and previous releases done by a patched
version of GTK2 in Ubuntu) or per application.
Since Ubuntu decided to revert this change because it caused too many problems

Public bug reported:
Would it be possible to add resize grips to all application windows?
With a 1-pixel border, it can be difficult to resize windows. With the
current greybird theme, AbiWord and Thunar have resize grips, while
Firefox, Leafpad, Terminal (and probably others) do not.

This is a workaround for people who upgrade.
While the theme was erroneously called "greybird" in previous versions of
Xubuntu we decided to correct this error in the LTS release and rename the
theme to "Greybird". For upgraders we had to create a symlink "greybird",
otherwise they would end up
This is a known problem and if you look at Ambiance it has the same bug.
For some reason the link_color (which is set to the same blue in gtk3 as in
gtk2) doesn't get applied, I'm assuming this is gtk3's fault.
