Thank you. The menu bar looked like the FF menubar, so I ignored it.
I just installed on a 16.04 box and it works just like you described :))

atril is the new pdf reader, and its functions and
evince is what I have been using, but I read the upgrade info and it
said that the pdf reader was changed, oh yes, I am too lazy to change my
PDFs to text, but thanks for the idea anyway :) .
