The content of the directory /etc/sysctl.d/ is given below. I checked all
the files that are present in the directory /etc/sysctl.d and no where were the
parameters that I had configured being overwritten. Is there an alternative to
sysctl to configure Kernel parameters that I can
Use IronAHK or Autokey. These two work pretty much the same as AHK in
Windows. Alternatively, use wine to run AHK on Linux. Wine runs pretty much
any Windows .exe files on Linux. You may probably need some timers to
trigger things off too.

I have my system set up so that the Power Manager turns off the
display after about 15 minutes idle. Is it possible to trigger
running a script in the same way? I have some actions I'd like taken
at the same time (or similar) to when the display turns off.
