Affiliates must embrace disabled workers . Locals must have activities On killing of Farm workers The PEC was disturbed with number of Farm workers killed whilst on duty, there are recent reported of farm workers been killed by machinery / equipments whilst performing their duties. We are rolling a programme on fighting both farmers and Department of labour on this continuous undermining of humans right and those of farm workers. On Local Government elections The PEC received a report on the results and the performance of ANC in all municipalities. The PEC expressed it concerns on why performance or percentage has declined since the 2011 elections. These are some contributing factors: . In fight during selection processes which delayed campaigning. . The emergence of Forum4service delivery . Poor mobilization and no proper arrangement made to make sure that all voters go and vote on the 03 August 2016 The relation amongst Alliance partners also contributed. The PEC resolve that the Provincial Alliance Council must be convene for an in-depth assessment. On filling of vacant posts in public service The PEC resolved that this matter of moratorium which affects most of Public sector unions must be confronted and be dealt with, there has been engagement on the matter but no progress is reported. So the PEC resolved that the matter must be part of the PoA. On COSATU meeting with EXCO The PEC welcomed the initiative and request that the meeting be use to address issues of the workers speedily. These are what must be done. . Affiliates must meet with MEC's on monthly basis. .
