Hi Joshua,IMO this shift towards tag subscriptions is the product of the UI. Currently there is no other way to subscribe to anything, than going to your inbox and filling out TWO input fields. I think this is the main cause for the inballance. Let me explain.
I'm only subscribing to tags of
Perhaps. However, the imbalance predated that UI as well.

i've been experiencing severe inbox delays as of late (3-5 days sometimes before a link appears). is this a known bug or currently being worked on? just wondering. i really dig the inbox feature, but the many days of delay is a bit annoying. thanks.

Yeah, the Inbox server is really, really far behind. I put some tweaks
in last night and am waiting to see if it is running faster or not.
The large problem is that there's a bunch of people who have subscribed
to very popular tags (such as "web") and get tens of thousands of items

Hello. Does the antisocial feature work on the inbox yet? There is a
user (ukplumber1) who is tag spamming in a way that ends up in my inbox
and it is starting to get really annoying. I have put him on my
antisocial list but it doesn't appear to do anything to the inbox.
Thank you!

I've noticed that bookmarks from people I've been putting in my
antisocial list are still being added to my inbox. I can understand
previously existing bookmarks still showing up from those users, but
even newly created bookmarks from those users are being placed in my
inbox. The help text for

Yeah, I've been missing this feature too. It disappeared sort of
gradually. first the tags lost the subscribe button now the users too.
I found the feature pretty useful, especially compared to the round
about way required to subribe now...

This happens with me. I used to subscribe to many interesting tags,
but duplicates reduces the utility so much that I hardly bother
reading the subscriptions. How much of a performance impact would
collapsing duplicates be? (and I'm not sure how that would work with

J,
Actually I subscribe to both specific users and to specific tags. The
downside to subscribing to specific tags is that I'm vulnerable to
spam when people like: http://del.icio.us/dngrand/ decide to tag their
4 bookmarks with hundreds of tags.
Duplicate collapsing would be very useful
I'm using del.icio.us for about a week

my question is will my inbox grow endless ?
it would be nice to remove entries (single and all as

The inbox tries to remember the last 500, although it
occasionally grows to 1000.
