I think it's not being tested due to lack of a dedicated maintainer.
If you can come up with fixes, they'll be taken, but having regression
tests requires dedicated manpower to take care of both the tests and
the fixes.
Generally icecc is not the first option when it comes to speeding up

to speed up the build process I would like to use icecc as described in
the manual (https://docs.yoctoproject.org/singleindex.html#icecc). When
using Yocto 4.3.1 this leads to an error while parsing the recipes:
