Re: iCal Linking to Yojimbo Items

2007-08-13 Thread Wolfgang Kunckel

Here you go:

tell application Yojimbo
set my_selection to the selection
repeat with an_item in my_selection
set my_id to id of an_item
set my_url to x-yojimbo-item:// my_id
set _comments to comments of an_item
add tags {iCal} to an_item
tell application iCal
tell calendar WOK_Privat -- enter name of your
calender
make new todo at end with properties {due date:current date,
summary:name of an_item, url:my_url, description:_comments}

end tell
end tell
end repeat
end tell

Make a script, put in /Users/YourUserName/Library/Scripts/Application/
Yojimbo.

Have fun

I'm trying to link a Yojimbo item (web archive of my travel
itinerary) to an iCal event (the dates of the trip).

I'm having no luck

http://www.listsearch.com/Yojimbo/Thread/index.lasso?767

says I can confirm that Address Book behaves strange. Yojimbo URLs
in iCal work as expected though.

but there's no info I can find about how to get Yojimbo URLs

The sender used Allume's Stuffit Pro to create the ZIP, and the name

As there is no such thing as StuffIt Pro and never has been (it's
StuffIt Deluxe), I have a feeling that your user has more terminology
problems than he or she may be letting on, and may not have performed
the procedure you are imagining to create the file you received.

You got that right, Matt :-) I telephoned the sender and got a step-by-step of
the actions taken to create the Web archive. It isn't.

However, the Pro incorrectly substituted for Deluxe is my own error. I
haven't used the Deluxe version of $tuffit for years, had misremembered the
name.
