I guess this falls somewhere between a feature request and wondering if anyone can suggest a better workaround. I use Yojimbo to maintain my software serial number database (amongst other things.) This database has been around for some time and was migrated from Appleworks to Excel before

I store my serial numbers (and everything else except web archives) in text notes because I find Yojimbo's force-fed record types too constricting as this case highlights. I also store passwords in encrypted text notes even though this adds a layer of annoyance because Yojimbo doesn't encrypt the

Very well said, David. I think I'll start adopting the same practice, as I despise these license files. I do much as you do in Yojimbo when I have one. I also keep my serial numbers and passwords in text files as opposed to the built-in forms. On Jan 26, 2008, at 11:09 AM, david
