Re: insert date/time into Note
John: Thanks for these great suggestions. I tried them out and like typeit4me. This is even better than what I was looking for as it works across all my applications - even works in iTerm when logged into my Linux server - slick! regards, -- Sam Samuel D. Is there a way to do this via Applescript? Inserting the d/t at the current cursor location? You could do it with AppleScript, but I use TextExpander: http://www.smileonmymac.com/textexpander/ so that I can use the same shortcut to insert, say, today's date, in any app. TypeIt4Me is another good option: http://ettoresoftware.com/About%20TypeIt4Me.html -J.G. -- -- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list . Re: Syncing without .Mac and multiple databases
If you swap out a database using rooSwitch though, I worry about how any syncing engine - whether it's .Mac, SyncTogether or something else - is going to handle it. You could wind up blowing away the equivalent database on your other machine(s). I don't remember what happened with our discussion about this previously, but this is another fundamental reason for a Yojimbo Pro version. - dc On Mar 17, 2007, at 9:35 AM, TjL wrote: I can't say when or if this will happen for Yojimbo but you can use rooSwitch http://roobasoft.com/rooSwitch/ which will allow you to easily switch between two sets of data for any application very easily.
