Re: Why is it n the Yojimbo Mil List has a problem with my Mac account
I'm not having any trouble with this email account. I'd be more apt to blame .Mac (don't get me wrong, I use and enjoy the service, but I had a problem with them bouncing Netflix emails falsely a while back). Maybe it's worth taking this offline to a private conversation with Bare Bones? After doing this nearly a dozen times, I have had enough. So what gives? What secret sauce do all the other lists know that Bare Bones does not? Given the highly competent development I see for BBEidt and Yojimbo, I am sure it is not technical talent that is lacking . Perhaps Bare Bones needs to review its choice of list manager. Since this problem has been going on for over a month now, perhaps I need to evince a more strident tone, to whit: YOURE EMAIL LIST MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SUCKS !! -- Derik DeLong http://godlikenerd.com http://macuser.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- -- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list yojimbo-talk@barebones.com. Re: ANN: Webjimbo web interface
Thanks for specifying UK MacUser. ;) And Adrian, this looks really cool. I'm looking forward to trying it out. It lets you view and edit your Yojimbo data from any computer with an internet connection and a web browser, as long as your Mac running Yojimbo is visible on the internet. Once again, no big sales pitch here, just a link to www.webjimbo.com where you can get more information and download the trial version. Changes since the private beta include the ability to view passwords and encrypted notes. Re: Dates created and modified
Couldn't you just back up Yojimbo's database? On 5/7/07, Ross Winn [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Can I chime in too? Maybe only allowing the creation date to be modified. I don't know, but it is an interesting question. What really pisses me off is that the creation and mod dates aren't supported for backup and restore. When I expert all of my items, since Yojimbo has no convenient backup feature, all of that info is lost. I used to review a lot of software, it was how I found Yojimbo actually, when my system started crashing regularly I simply wiped and reinstalled - but when reimporting all of those items that metadata was lost.
