Question re Palm/Treo sync
I'm thinking about buying Yojimbo largely due to the Palm (Treo) sync capability. I had one quick question: Missing Sync can be set up so that it only syncs selected Yojimbo collections, from what I've heard. My question is: can this be a tag collection, so that Palm syncing is determined by the presence of a tag I put on the item -- and so that the item can live in the collection it belongs in from a topic point of view? i.e. say I have Home and Work collections, and certain items within each of them are tagged with Palm. Can I create a Palm tag collection and have it be what syncs to the Treo? One other question: often I select what I want and bring up the Quick Input window without remembering to hit Copy. The last thing in my clipboard shows up. I hit escape, hit Copy to put the intended new item onto the clipboard, bring up the QUick Input panel again... and I get the same old clipboard item shown (Your previous information has been preserved) plus the AutoFill button if I want to update the Quick Input window with what I've just copied. This is a real inconvenience, especially because the window is all the way over on the right side of the screen. Is there a way to either turn off that Previous info has been preserved option, or to dismiss the Quick Input window in a way that won't activate that option the next time? Re: Quick Input Panel - Autofill
I've just read the archive on this one and partially answered the second question I posted a couple of hours ago. I understand the reason behind this feature -- but I would VERY MUCH like some kind of way to say I summoned the Quick Input panel in error and don't want to put this material into Yojimbo at all, so please don't preserve it when I dismiss the panel. That happens significantly more often than wanting to stitch together a Yojimbo doc from multiple clipboard items. I've been using Yojimbo since about the beginning and didn't know this one! Thanks! -- -- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list yojimbo-talk@barebones.com.
