I've tried the below and it lists only a fraction of the total Yj items. Is there another class for which to search? I've tried BSP to add categories, but it freezes System Preferences. Is there a way to show Yojimbo items as a separate group in Spotlight? I.e. Spotlight separates PDFs, images, e-mails, etc. Can Yojimbo items be broken out into their own list? This doesn't directly answer your question but for searching Yojimbo via Spotlight, I use MoRU which is an excellent shareware interface to Spotlight. Searching Yj via MoRU/Spotlight is wickedly fast--much faster than using Yj. I set up a smartgroup for Yojimbo items in MoRU and assign a hotkey to it.
