Re: Yojimbo and 10.5.2
It does make things clearer. Thanks. I'll poke around and see what I can add where. On Feb 22, 2008, at 9:59 AM, Steve Kalkwarf wrote: I believe I have been unclear. I have seven items (both Serials and Passwords) which show up in their respective default collections for Serials and Passwords. These items also show up in the Unsorted folder, but are clearly sorted into the default collections for Serials and Passwords. All other Serials and Passwords I have go where I expect them to go-- their respective default collections. How do I get these seven to behave? All items live in the Library, regardless of their kind. All Bookmarks (or Notes, or Serial Numbers, etc.) will be found in the Library, _and_ in the Smart Collection for that type. If you have any Manual Collections, any items that are not in one or more Manual Collections will be found in Unsorted Items. If you do not use Manual Collections, all items (again, regardless of kind) will be seen in the Unsorted Items. The situation you are describing tells me that 7 items are not stored in any Manual Collections. Does that make things clearer? Bit of a long shot... Do you use Linotype FontExplorer X? This stopped a few apps launching on my system after the 10.5.2 update. There is an update available to fix this. Re: Yojimbo and 10.5.2
Yojimbo's all good here. Just for a data point - the first reboot under 10.5.2 seems to take a long time regardless of the presence of Yojimbo. I have Yojimbo on the Mac Pro but not on the iMac or Mac Mini and all three experienced a long start up. cheers Craig On 13/02/2008, at 5:48 PM, Niels Kobschaetzki wrote: On Feb 13, 2008 6:43 AM, John Cradock [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I've already written in to Bare Bones tech support about this, but I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this. Re: Yojimbo and 10.5.2
Never mind ... it just took an insanely long time to launch the first time, and it was showing as unresponsive, but I let it go and eventually it launched. After that, it launched pretty quickly. [admin] Re: Yojimbo and 10.5.2
Good morning folks, The 10.5.2 update includes a change to Core Data (the system data storage service that Yojimbo uses) which requires SQLite to perform a rebuild of any existing data stores (created on OS versions prior to 10.5.2). Unfortunately, for large data stores this process can take a while, and there's no up-front feedback as to what is happening. Please just let Yojimbo run and *do not* force quit it; once the rebuild is finished, Yojimbo will respond normally again.
