Hi, the compilation and tests with xorg 7.1 went far more promising then initially assumed. The xorg7 branch got retagged with _rocketfuel_ .
What's left to be done ? Heaps of things. Right now xorg-7.1 is in /opt/Xgl . It's final prefix shall be /usr. ( Current X is in /usr/X11R6 ) . I started recompiling the applications so that the files will not be in /opt/Xgl but in /usr . The xgl-base package is obsolete. UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THE XORG7 IS BROKEN AND WILL ALSO BREAK OTHER BRANCHES !!!
