Hi Katherine, and congrats to you! I'm sorry to see Alice wasn't able to manage the group. I've posted some informational things here from time to time. Most recently, a link to an article comparing Zane Grey to his fellow author (and yes, he wrote some westerns!), Edgar Rice Burroughs, famous for Tarzan of the Apes. I also belong to the Edgar Rice Burroughs fan list - www.ERBList.com
You're right, you cannot have only one fav ZG book! My favorite series is the Ohio Border series, which also includes the latest published in 1999 with George Washington. Mainly because I live in the same area, and am insatiable about info on the Early American / French and Indian War era. After that, it's hard to pick a favorite. Wild Horse Mesa The Thundering Herd The Vanishing American To the Last Man oh....any book of ZG's that describes the beauty of a desert sunset! ZG was and is known for his vivid descriptions that IMHO are unmatched in their beauty. I found an online book of ZG on this link: http://emotional-literacy-education.com/classic-books-online-a/sprtb10.htm And, another link with a list of online ZG books to read. I think I'll be busy reading and printing out tonite! :) http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=zane+grey+books be blessed, Shenandoah ------------------------ Yahoo!
