The Zappa Family Trust will kick off a comprehensive campaign to commemorate
the 40th anniversary of the late Frank Zappa's albums next month. Lumpy
Money, a three-CD audio documentary due out Nov. 25, is the first offering
in the series -- and, according to Zappa's widow Gail, the most unique.

Yeah, I thought they skipped one, which you'd hardly expect given the ZFT
penchant for squeezing every cent out of us by issuing two versions of every
release each with exclusive material. Just imagine the marketing potential of
two different Lather 40th anniversary boxes!

Dwayne, the Lather vine consists of a needledrop of the promo LPs, so
it doesn't have Frank as DJ or anything else. The sound is arguably
better than the officially released version, apart from some audible
inner groove distortion at the end of sides.
