It must be an extremely subtle correction. I just can’t hear the difference going back and fourth. What this recording doe’s have is the unmistakable sound curve of a recording that was recorded with Dolby Noise reduction on and then played back with it off. This enhances the high end in a somewhat unnatural way and I think can’t be fixed properly with digital effects. It could probably be addressed in some manner though. Unfortunately they didn’t do this at all. This is a common problem with tapes being digitized from that era. The enhancement of the high end is meant to be removed along with the his. That’s what it was put in for. Still this is a fine boot.
