[Zappa-List] King Kong video question

Hey all,
I saw this for the first time last week on YouTube (also, my first visit to
that site- I just don't get out much).  Wow, it was great, I must have
watched it a half dozen times at work.  Anyway, who is the person depicted
by the bust that is shown about four times supposed to be?

What instrumention does FZ use in King Kong?  We were debating this 
last night, thought it might be a wind instrument.  But it sounds 
electronic to me.  Not like an EWI though, more like a synthesizer.  
Or a muted baritone sax, or even (gasp!) a bassoon...  But that thing 
goes so low at one point, I'm sure it's no wind instrument...
