R: [Zappa-List] MITB artwork

2005-04-02 Thread marcomat

Sofa,
I think there have been a misunderstanding, certainly due
to my poor English. The artwork I have is NOT my work - I downloaded it some
time ago (don't remember from where, but I think is some Big-Noter's work). I'm
sending to your personal mailbox a resized sample of it.
All the best

First off, thank you Jim for stepping up. I'm more than a little
disappointed that some of the original vinees at the end of the line didn't
respond (ya see, the message archives give me a pretty good clue of who these
folks are)... But that's life, yes?
I am currently thinking about a different way to start vines here, one
that doesn't require any "keeping track"... I'll post those thoughts when I've
  fully fleshed them out.
Afa the artwork for this set is concerned... I will be 'tidying' up our
storage space in the following week; it's been a while, and needs to be done.
So please, don't anyone delete anything as of yet... A lot of Chris' stuff, as
I mentioned, was featured in theBIGnote's update; I will clear that out.
Marco, if you could please allow me the week, I will have some space for your
work. I'm sure I am not the only member interested in seeing what you have
  done...

Howdy folks,
If my MITB art is taking up too much space ,I could remove them,if you
like.

I didn't know there were already two versions
uploaded. I've checked both and can confirm that I have a third set (don't
know who made it, but you should already know it, as it probably comes
from The BigNote or thereabouts). Since the 20MB reserved to the File
directory of the list are almost used up, maybe it's not necessary that I
upload yet another artwork set. Or...?For

Hi everybody!
I'm interested in this vine. Although I already have MITB in mp3 format, Iwould like to upgrade to a better version. So, please, count me in.
As for the artwork, I could upload the 3 zip files (6.5MB in total) to the files section of the group.

All the best

It was only vined as Audio CD on this list. In hindsight I guess flac would have made sense but we have lots of viners that don't do flac or shn. I think we have some using Mac OS 9 and last time I checked there was no flac decoder for that OS. The extra set I have is very low gen however as I was one of the original weeders. I'm on disc 5 listening to make sure there are no errors. Not a terrible chore but a good excuse to listen to a great collection. If someone will volunteer to organize a vine I should be ready to send them out next week. Or we could just do it the minivine way with each offering on the list as they are ready to send them out? Ether way someone can email me now to be first.

Don't worry just yet Chris. As we have just loaded several of your covers
to TBN's webpage, I will probably delete them in the near futeum... But, see my

Re: [Zappa-List] MITB artwork

2005-04-01 Thread Jim L

It's probably mine that should be
removed. I was brand new to this list when MITB came out and didn't realize we
had members that actually deserve to have the word art associated with their
cover art. Mine was just thrown together at a frenzied pace to provide track
listings. I just used screenshots for backgrounds and pasted the track listings
on.
