Audacity is another
free program that can be used to down sample the wav file. For splitting the
wav after dawn sampling CD WAV is always my choice. It splits on sector boundaries
so that you never get a click or pop on the final CD after you burn it. It’s
not technically free but has an unlimited free trial period.
