Is it me that people don't answer to my posts? Anyway, I have a solution that fits for me. As I wrote above, I am not able to debug crypto_alloc_base in crypto/api.c. If anyone is interested in locating the problem: The function was called successfully after compiling mac80211 into the kernel instead of loading it as a module. So it doesn't seem to be a zd1211 driver problem.
