I tried following Tim Gardner's advice on this forum and use mac80211 drivers: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/74362 I wouldn't recommend the zd1211rw-mac80211 driver at this point in time, it has known issues.
