I was just trying to makte this very list open for the general public
to subscribe. Turns out that this is not possible with the current Zg
project structure.
Launchpad (LP) has a one-to-one mapping of teams-mailing list. So in
effect all on this mailing list has commit access to lp:zeitgeist.

What I think we really need to decide now is how we want to represent
events and items (when returned by FindEvents et all).
I think you hit the nail on the head here. I think the current Zg API
leaves a blurry line for what Zeitgeist

however what happens if i want to log an event where the subject has not
been registered yet?
My initial idea here was to accept that and create a dummy item
