[Zeitgeist] [Bug 928324] Re: zeitgeist-fts using up 600 MB of RAM

2013-03-07 Thread Minas
Here is a simple fix:

Open a terminal and execute this command:
rm -rf ~/.local/share/zeitgeist

This will delete the database that zeigeist-fst has made so far. Then
you must(*) restart your PC and it will use 4.9 MB :)

If you don't, the dash search will return wrong results. This will
temporary until you reboot.

Same problem here.

zeitgeist is eating 280MB of ram. After zeitgeist-daemon --replace it
drops to 1,2 MB, but a single search in the dash makes it spike to the
previous levels.

Yeah we are discussing the issue with Ubuntu1 so we can fix it. Ubuntu1

@Seif - the disproportional number of uris compared to events seems to
be caused by U1 logging its uids in the subject origin field effectively
creating twice as many uris as events.

How much does your zeitgeist-daemon process require?
How big was your DB before you sent it over...

I see more subjects than events which means you deleted some events i guess
