Re: [zekr] Re: Zekr 1.1.0 Final is Ready

Yes, I deleted uth* from windows/fonts as Administrator. Then followed
instructions at
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Install-or-uninstall-fontsto
install UthmanTN1B Ver10.otf and UthmanTN1 Ver10.otf. Restarted
PC.
But the problem still persists.

TIA!

 Salaam,

I had the same issue on my computer with KFGQPC font, and that was due to
several installation of different versions of fonts. As I *deleted* all
files and installed the latest version, font issue resolved. Note that Zekr
installer copies the font into Windows font folder, which seems to cause
this problem, as copying is not same as installing. Are you sure you first
removed all fonts according to these
 instructionshttp://zekr.org/wiki/Trouble_shooting#Fonts?
Sometimes, in my case at least, a reboot is also required.

 Mohsen

Yes. Followed that sequence, and the problem still persists. A couple of
 things to note-
 1. I did not have this issue with the older version of Zekr. Issue
 cropped up only after upgrading
 2. When font is set to 'Sans-serif', it renders correctly. Issue is seen
when font is set to KFGQPC Uthman Taha Naskh or Traditional Arabic

Asalam o alaikum- I'm seeing a similar issue after upgrading to the new
version. When using traditional Arabic, some parts of an aya are rendered
incorrectly. When I switched to KFGQPC Uthman Taha Naskh, I can see
the correct text only after highlighting it. Otherwise,it appears blank.
 Please see attached images.

 JazakAllah Khair.

 Salaam,

The change in the text.filter.**noSpaceBeforeWaqf didn't solve any

gone. I noticed that the problem was with Traditional Arabic font,
but I don't know why has this problem appeared in the new version.

 3. Start Zekr and do a reload (View Reload)

Could you please also specify your Windows and Internet Explorer version.

 Salaam,

 Mahmood,
Try using XULRunner instead of IE and tell us about the result.
 1. Download XULRunner
 10.0.4http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/xulrunner/releases/10.0.4esr/runtimes/xulrunner-10.0.4esr.en-US.win32.zip
  2. Unzip it somewhere, say *e:\xulrunner*
 3. Edit zekr installation folder\zekr.ini
 4. add the following line at the end of the file:
 vmarg.3=-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=*e:\xulrunner*
 5. Start Zekr.

It should now use XULRunner as the underlying browser instead of IE. Check
if the font issue still persists with this browser.
